FORMALIN-FREE NEUTRALIZER OF HYDROGEN SULPHIDE AND MERCAPTANS NITROX

The purpose of NITROX chemical is to neutralize hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans in oil, gas condensate, hydrocarbon distillates and residual products

IT HAS INCREASED EFFICIENCY:
• removal of hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans in one stage at 0 - 40 °C, contact time 2-4 hours, without air purging;
• low consumption of chemical (40-60 g/t of oil) and water phase (1.5-2% for oil);
• there is no formalin and triazine in the composition.

DISADVANTAGES OF ANALOGUE NEUTRALIZERS

LOW EFFICIENCY

- Significant consumption;
- Low activity with regard to mercaptans.

SIDE EFFECTS

- Formation of hard-to-remove deposits on field and refinery equipment (polymethylene sulphides in combination with paraffins, asphaltenes, resins, inorganic compounds and solid impurities);

- The pressure drop increase in the "overhead-reflux drum" route; heat transfer disruption; decrease of the inhibitor protection efficiency due to blocking of the metal surface and stimulation of corrosion under aggressive deposits; distortion of the indicators of sensing elements of thermocouples, flow pH meters, corrosion detectors;

- Formation of recombinant hydrogen sulphide poisoning catalysts;

- Toxicity of formaldehyde and its decomposition products is significantly higher than the toxicity of hydrogen sulphide;

- High corrosion activity of formaldehyde oxidation products (formic acid).

RECOMMENDED FORMULA COMPOSITION

• Aqueous solution of alkali salt (oxidizer);
• Metals of variable valence with a high degree of oxidation (catalyst);
• Inorganic base (co-catalyst).

ADVANTAGES OF THE NITROX CHEMICAL

• No need to use air in treatment technologies as an oxidizer and the elimination of the need to burn exhaust air;
• Reduction in the cost of oil treatment by up to 20% due to the low cost of chemical components;
• Possibility of processing at temperatures close to 0 °C;
• No contamination of process equipment with hard-to-remove compounds;
• Reduction of acidity and corrosion activity of oil.
• No pollution of the work environment with highly toxic formaldehyde
