Natural Gas Reduction, Liquefaction and Compression Complex (KRSK) is intended for the production of liquefied and/or compressed natural gas from the natural gas of the main pipeline branches. It is placed on the bypass of existing gas distribution stations or as a gas distribution station during new construction.
Construction of a natural gas reduction, liquefaction and compression complex (KRSK) with a capacity of up to 20 tons/hour is required in order to:
• expand the use of gas motor fuel in transport by means of autonomous gas supply to filling infrastructure,
• intensify gasification of the regions of the Russian Federation due to autonomous gas supply to consumers, the construction of gas pipelines to which is economically inefficient,
• compensate uneven gas consumption due to gasification of consumers with a seasonal peak in the opposite phase to traditional consumers (motor-and-tractor equipment, water transport, agriculture),
• obtain additional profit from the sale of products on the domestic energy market,
• increase the load of existing gas pipeline-branches and gas pipeline-branches under construction.

The proposed Natural gas reduction, liquefaction and compression complex KRSK installed on the bypass of the existing gas distribution station, in contrast to the well-known technical solutions implemented, for example, at the Gas Distribution Station-4 of Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg LLC as part of a joint project with Scientific Production Association HELIYMASH OJSC, makes it possible:
• to increase the LNG output by 2.2-2.5 times with the same gas productivity and an equal amount of capital investment,
• to exclude electricity consumption,
• to exclude fuel gas consumption at the existing gas distribution station,
• to receive compressed natural gas (CNG) if necessary.
Technical parameters of KRSK:
• natural gas capacity: 10 - 100 thousand nm3/hour,
• LNG performance: 1.0 - 19.5 t/h (with a pressure drop of 2.5 - 5.5/0.6 MPa),
• inlet pressure: 2.5-5.5 MPa,
• reduced gas pressure: 1.2 (0.6) MPa,
• CNG storage pressure: 25 MPa,
• LNG storage pressure: 0.8 (0.6) MPa,
• LNG shipment pressure: 0.35 - 2.2 MPa
Economic characteristics* of KRSK-30 (KRSK-60):
• LNG production 41,200 (82,400) t/year
• total capital expenditures 470 (820) million rubles
• cost price of LNG is 10,400 (9,900) rubles/t
• discounted payback period of investments – 3.5/3.1 years
*for the gas distribution station with a capacity of 30 (60) thousand nm3/hour, with an inlet pressure of 3.5 MPa, a reduced gas pressure of 0.6 MPa, at a natural gas price of 6,000 rubles/1000 nm3 and LNG price of 16,000 rubles/t without VAT
